AIHIO.ART

Bespoke sculptural lighting, conceived one piece at a time for individual interiors.

Every project begins with a conversation about a specific room and ends with a single object built for that room alone — never from a catalogue, never alongside another.

3D-printed form · Hand-finished surface · High-CRI LEDs · ~6 week lead

A completed sculptural light handed over in a hotel lobby, alongside the working drawings, the on-site installation, and the finished piece in the studio.

The studio

ONE·PIECE
AT·A·TIME

AIHIO operates as a founder-led atelier. No showroom. No distribution. No catalogue. Each project begins with a conversation and ends with a single object, built for the room it was imagined in.

/01

Built around the interior

Every piece is sized, proportioned, and surfaced for the specific wall, ceiling height, and use-case it will inhabit. We work from photographs and dimensions of the actual room.

/02

3D-print plus hand finish

The structural body is 3D-printed in Finland, then hand-finished in the studio — plaster, lacquer, pigment, or metal leaf. The result reads as art object before it reads as light.

/03

Light that respects the room

Integrated high-CRI LEDs (CRI > 96) on a 2700 K – 4000 K range, paired with a universal 110 – 240 V driver. Tunable to the architecture and the way the room is actually used.

/04

Collaborated, not installed

AIHIO works alongside interior designers, architects, and developers from moodboard through installation support — a maker present in the conversation, not a vendor at the end.

The maker’s approach

One hand. One room. One maker.

AIHIO is run by a single maker. From the first sketch and the 3D modelling in the studio, through printing, hand-finishing, electronic integration and the final QA in the dark room — every step happens here, in the same hand.

There is no production line and no subcontracted finishing. A piece is conceived individually, printed on the studio’s own printer, sanded, lacquered or gilded by hand, fitted with its LED module, then tested in a darkened environment before it is ever packed for delivery.

Where AIHIO works

Four kinds of room, one kind of work.

Hotel lobbies & signature suites

Sculptural focal points for arrivals, restaurants, and the suites a guest remembers. Specified with the design team and the operator.

Statement dining rooms

Lighting that frames rather than floods — sized, dimmed, and tuned to the room, the table, and the architecture.

Exhibition & permanent collections

Objects curated as deliberately as the work around them. UV-aware, low-glare, and conversation-ready with a curator.

Curated private interiors

Built around a particular wall, a particular corner, a particular way a client lives. Always one piece; never from a catalogue.

A commission begins

Tell us about the room.

Send a few photographs, the dimensions, and a sentence about what the piece should do in the space. The studio replies personally, usually within a few working days. Initial conversations are at no charge.
